Waco: Introduction
Waco 11259 is a RNF model (Warner Engine, “N” style wings, “F” style fuselage) that was restored from the state shown above to the beautiful finished aircraft shown below by Col Jack Schifferer between 2000 and 2006. He flew it for four months before his death. He left it to Dave.
It’s been cared for, upgraded, and flown for 11 years since Col Jack’s departure. Now, after 12 years of repairs, overhaul, upgrades, and maintenance, N11259 is a reliable flying machine. I’ve enjoyed flying it locally for two years and recently flew it to Mesa, AZ for the Copperstate Flyin where it took a first place in the Antique Class.
With maintenance on N11259 reduced and the KFNSL construction complete, I’ve decided it’s time for a new project and have placed the RNF up FOR SALE. Contact me if you have any interest in owning and flying this great piece of aviation history.
